The 3^rd China International Advanced Materials Industry Exposition (“Exposition”) jointly held by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC and Heilongjiang People’s Government was inaugurated in Harbin from 1 to 3 September 2014. The Exposition takes “New materials, new life, new equipment and new achievements” as its theme and focuses on three functions of exhibition, transaction and exchange. China National Building Materials Group Corporation (“CNBM”) participated into the Exposition with its member companies including China Composites Group Corporation Ltd., Beijing New Building Material (Group) Co., Ltd. and Harbin FRP Institute. Its carbon fiber and carbon core cable are respectively granted gold award on the Exposition.

CNBM, by means of pictures, words and real objects, systematically demonstrated the phased achievements obtained on the projects such as energetic development of new environmental protection and energy efficient building materials, exploration & development of high performance composite materials such as carbon fiber, carbon core cable, high performance basalt fiber composite bar in terms of new wall materials, new composite materials, new refractory materials etc. based on new energy efficient building materials and new energy materials.

More than 1100 famous new materials manufacturers, scientific research institutes, customers and over 3700 purchasers both at home and abroad were invited to the Exposition, and the number of participants exceeded 50,000. During the Exposition, a series of activities were held including China New Materials Industrial Development Forum, China New Chemical Materials Development Exchange, China Carbon Fiber & Composite Materials Industrial Technology Innovation Summit Forum etc.
