Steven Thomson visits BNBM

On October 14, Steven Thomson, Director of Department of Forestry, British Columbia, Canada and Tin Sheldan, Deputy Director, visited Beijing New Building Materials Group Corporation (BNBM). Liu Guiping, Secretary of Party Committee and Yu Xianfeng, Vice General Manager received the delegation.

Liu Guiping gave a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced BNBM’s basic situation and development, especially the Group’s mission of promoting new building materials and buildings, as well as years of efforts and achievements. He also reviewed the cooperation between BNBM and the Canadian Association of Wood Industry. BNBM always adheres to the “open enterprise” and strengthens cooperation with foreign institutions and enterprises, leading China’s development of new building materials and pre-fab housing. In the future, BNBM, with pre-fab housing being the core business, is willing to continue the cooperation with the Canadian Association of Wood Industry and Canadian enterprises in wood structure housing, especially in the field of technical training and market cultivation to jointly provide high-quality home environment for the Chinese consumers.

Steve Thomson expressed his thanks for the reception. He said the purpose of the trip was to promote the Canadian high quality wood and wooden structure house in the Chinese market through cooperation with Chinese enterprises and better service China’s new urbanization and rural housing reconstruction. As enterprise representatives, Michael Loseth, Global Vice President, Canada Wood Innovation Group and Bill Mascott, President, Canada Wood Housing Group all showed their willingness to play each other's strengths, develop cooperation in related areas and jointly improve the application of high quality wood in the Chinese market.
